The heir to the Maurya Empire, Ashoka, was brilliantly played by the actor Shahrukh Khan in the 2001 film Ashoka. The Epic historical drama film by Santosh Sivan managed to grab a rating of 6.5 on IMDb and was loved for the never-seen makeover of the actor Shahrukh Khan.

This film by Red chilies entertainment revolved around Ashoka being sent on an exile after having fought with his half-brother Susima. And amidst his journey, he happens to cross the princess of Kalinga, Kaurwaki, and instantly fells for her!

And, adding to the brilliance of the film, The actress Deepika Padukone was seen helming the role of Padmavati, the legendary Rajput queen and wife of the Rajput king, Ratan Singh.

The ferocious looks adapted by the actor to play the role of ruler of Delhi sultanate, Alauddin Khilji, in Padmaavat emerged as one of the brilliant actors that ever existed in the history of Bollywood.

Brilliantly getting under the skin of the character and surprising the fans with his impactful performance as the second and most powerful ruler of the Khalji dynasty, the actor Ranveer Singh climbed the ladder of success with his performance in the film.

And as for Alauddin Khilji, he ascended The throne of Delhi sultanate by murdering his paternal uncle and went on to siege Chittor following his desire to capture Ratan Singh’s wife, Padmavati.

Marking its release in 2005, this historical drama film by Akbar Khan cast daylight upon the construction of the mausoleum, Taj Mahal. Rated as 5.1 on IMDB, this film included brilliant actors like Arbaaz Khan, Kabir Bedi, Manisha Koirala, and various others in the lead roles.

With the actor Kabir Bedi portraying the role of emperor Shah Jahan or prince Khurram, the film opened with Mumtaz Mahal lying on her deathbed making a wish to Shahjahan to construct a mausoleum as the symbol of their eternal love and her memory.

While numerous daily soap operas have been made to date surrounding the Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, this time the Bollywood industry has also tried to cite the story of the king. Initially rumored for marking its theatrical release on 5th November 2021, the film will finally be marking its release on 21 January 2022.
